Earthquake Relief

Eric came home yesterday and said there was a small chance he could be going to do earthquake relief. Within about 2 hours, that changed to him leaving this morning. So, we got him all packed. He tried to explain to Abby that he would be gone for a little while but didn't know when he would be back. We took him to work this morning so the truck didn't have to sit there. He is supposed to be leaving around noon to head out. They will be flying and catching a ride on a ship that is already in route. We don't know how long he will be gone but we are guessing around 30 days. His current squadron (AWSTS) works very closely with his previous squadron (HM14) and that is who he will be with. The pic of the helo gives you and idea of what they could be doing. They can have pallets of stuff, they can transport people, they can assist in heavy lifting. They have lots of capabilities. We will miss him while he is gone and don't really know how much contact we will have while he is gone.
