Sweet girls!
Abby and Eric had a great time trick-or-treating! She came home with lots of candy and we let her eat as much as she wanted until she had a tummyache. It didn't take too long for that to happen but she did eat quite a bit. Maddie and I went with them for about 30 minutes and then came home to pass out candy. Thursday, October 29, 2009
H1N1 Vaccinated
Abby's school sent home a letter today saying that the Health Department was giving H1N1 shots today. So, I fed the girls lunch and off I went. We got there between 12:45 and 1 and didn't leave until 3:15. We waited in line for most of that time. We got in the door probably around 2:50-2:55. So both girls have to go back at the end of November to get the second shot. I also got the shot so that is good. I was stressing a little about flying with them and them not being vaccinated. But...it will be okay, they have had at least some of the dose.

Abby's Pumpkin Parade
Abby's Class
Snow White (Abby) and the Elephant (her friend John)
Abby had her first school "play" today. She did great! Each class sang 2 songs and then all the classes did one song together. Abby has been practicing but didn't always know the words but she knew them today. She sang and did the motions like a pro.

Weekend Visit with Friends
The girls played lots of dress up!
Pretty princesses
Watching OU/TX with Eric
Jana and her girls came down for a visit for the weekend. They just moved to Maryland. John (her husband) is in Texas doing training. They got in Friday evening in time for dinner and they left this morning. Eric is headed back up to Maryland with them for a conference. He will be back late on Wednesday. Abby had lots of fun having the girls here to play with. It was cold so they didn't get to play outside. We had our church's annual harvest party and chili/chowder cookoff on Saturday afternoon. We went to church on Sunday. All the girls slept in Abby's room and did really well until Sunday night and it was 10:00 before they stopped talking and finally went to sleep. So, I am hoping for a good nap this afternoon from Abby. I'm sure Jana's girls will nap well at there house today too! It was nice to visit and catch up. We hadn't seen them since Cinda was a baby (so that was 3 years ago). We missed seeing John but since they are closer we will see them again! Abby wants the girls to come back in the summer so they can go to the beach.
Race for the Cure
Saturday I ran my first 5K. We have been training and been doing it in intervals (4 min walking, 4 min running). Saturday, though, we ran the entire 3 miles. It was quite cold but we were bundled up so we stayed nice and warm. It was on the boardwalk at the oceanfront. It was cool and drizzly most of the time. We finished in about 30-35 minutes. Yes, we run slow! We had a great time!

4 year check-up
Abby had her 4 year old check up. She is 39 1/2 inches tall (3 foot, 3 inches) and 31 pounds. She is in the 50th percentile on her height and the 20-25th percentile for weight. She got 3 immunizations and then we went and got flu shots. Maddie had to get a booster so she will go back in 30 days to get another shot. Shots were the most traumatic part of the doctors appointment. There were lots of tears, and lots of kicking and screaming. But we made it through it!

Birthday Party
We had Abby's birthday party on Sunday. It was supposed to be on Saturday but she threw up Friday night so we pushed her party back 24 hours to make sure we weren't sick. We had a total of 6 little girls here and there families so I think the final headcount was 25. We had a good time and Abby had a great time playing with her friends. They decorated foam tiaras, played on the swingset, played in the playroom, played in Abby's room, the living room and any other room they could find. Abby was still a little wound up because we put her to bed at 8 and she was still wide awake at 10. I have a picture folder to the right with pictures from her party.
