Maddie has been scooting all over the living room. She is now getting up on her knees and rocking back and forth. She loves being down on the floor! We also pulled out the Johnny Jump Up. She had fun playing in it for a little while.

A Day at the Beach????

Yes, it was 90 degrees this weekend. We spent a little time at the beach this weekend while Grandma, Papa, and Great Grandma were visiting. I have added pictures on the right side of their time here. They had a good time playing in the sand.

Earth Day Crafts

Botanical Garden

We went with Sarah, Mackenzie and Kennedy to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens yesterday morning. Eric and Mat were moving some of their stuff preparing for their move to Virginia Beach. Abby and Mackenzie had a good time. We have been trying to do "open air" things for Mackenzie since her immune system is still suppressed. The girls were able to see pretty flowers and they have a special area just for kids with fountains and lots of hands-on objects. I didn't bring Abby a change of clothes so she didn't get to play in the fountain but she still had a good time. She got to plant some corn that she got to bring home so we are trying to see if that will grow. I don't have much of a green thumb. I have added a folder with the pictures.

Easter Dinner

We had a wonderful Easter dinner with our friends the Bowman's and Rollin's. Here is a picture of the kids (L to R: Caroline (17 months), Abby (3 1/2), Cole (3 1/2), and Logan (19 months)) after dinner and lots of playing. We also had Maddie (4 months) and Ava Rollins (7 weeks). They were watching a movie. They had a wonderful time playing together and I'm sure that they all slept well last night, Abby sure did!

There is a song that they play on the radio alot these days. It is Alan Jackson Country Boy. Here is the video on You Tube if you haven't heard it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STW0pJ-6MBw). Eric and I were talking the other day and all the sudden Abby starts singing the song. She only knows the chorus but it is funny! Enjoy!

Abby has been paying attention in Sunday School. When we were preparing for Easter, we were making the cake and decorating it and she said she wanted to put a cross on the cake and I asked her why and she told me that Jesus was on a cross and we should put it on our cake. She told me he had boo-boos on his hands and his feet and in his heart. I asked why he had a boo-boo in his heart and she said that he had a boo-boo because he was sad we disobeyed. So, I decided we should capture it on video.

Handprint Lilies

I found this activity online and we made them today. We are having some friends over for Easter dinner and we made a kids table so we made decorations for them. She has a vase of "flowers" and homemade placemats. She thought it was great!

Abby and Eric dyed some Easter Eggs this weekend. They will be some yummy deviled eggs!

Found her toes!

Maddie has officially found her toes! She holds on to them all the time now when she is laying down. She does it when she is getting her diaper changed, on the floor, and in the bath.

We went to the zoo on Thursday with Mat, Sarah, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Kay Dee, Scott, Nolan, Ryan and Debbie. Abby had a great time with Nolan and enjoyed seeing the animals. It was as very nice day so getting some fresh air was nice!

More swingset fun!

Swingset is Up!!

Maddie likes her swing!

Abby likes it! Some assembly required. The swingset got assembled on Saturday and Abby has been loving it! As soon as she got the okay, she played on it and then came in for dinner and then back out before bed. She played on it Sunday for a while after nap. Unfortunately, it has rained today, so she hasn't played on it.
