We had Eric's squadron picnic at the beach on Friday. The girls enjoyed getting to play in the sand and in the water. It was super hot outside (temp of 98 and heat index 102). It has been crazy hot here. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 101. We have been setting records with the heat. So we have been staying inside as much as possible. 
Abby has been asking for days to make a pyramid. She suggested using wood and building it in the backyard. I told her that wasn't the best idea. So, I suggested sugar cubes. (Mind you, those aren't the easiest things to find) This afternoon, after naps, we made her pyramid. She loved it! 
We went to the Botanical Gardens on Saturday with some friends. The girls had a great time! There is a water area so they got to play in that. There are lots of pictures in the album to the right.

We arrived back home late on Thursday. The girls were super excited to see Daddy and to be in their own space. Abby had been asking to sleep in her own bed for days and she sure did. She slept in until 9AM! Grandma and Papa have been here since we returned. Jerry flew out on Saturday and left on Monday. Lisa is here until about Thursday. We have been to the beach, did 4th of July festivities, went blueberry and blackberry picking and had lots of time outside. I have added multiple albums to the right so be sure to check them out! :)
