Big Helper???

Well....not quite. Eric and I were talking the other day and Abby was on her chair talking to Maddie like she always does. Neither one of us was paying attention and Abby says, "Mommy, Daddy, Maddie needs some lotion." She had taken the lotion and put a huge glob of it on Maddie's tummy and was trying to rub it in. There was enough on Maddie to cover Maddie and Abby from head to toe. She was trying to help make sure that Maddie had smooth skin!

I attempted to take some pictures of the girls today. It is definately a two person job. Abby wanted to be in all the pictures. So, we had to talk about how we have LOTS of pictures of her but we need some pictures of Maddie. So, then she started making funny faces to try to encourage Maddie to smile.

Modeling Career???

We went to a consignment sale yesterday and got lots of clothes for Maddie and Abby just a few things. We saved $64 which is pretty good, and I only spent $8. Here is Abby modeling her dress she picked out.

Taxes???

This is what Mommy looks like when she is doing the taxes!!! They are done now, it only took me about 2 hours!

Maddie is still growing like a weed. She is a little over 12 1/2 pounds now. She is still a very laid back baby. She just kind of goes with the flow. She only fusses if she is tired or hungry. She doesn't even fuss if she has a dirty diaper, crazy kid!

Abby Update

Enjoy the stories below: Abby got some chocolates for Valentine's Day and she ate a piece and it was all over her hands and face. In the time that it took us to get the camera she had pretty much licked it all off of her face, hands and teeth but she was covered in chocolate.

Abby was playing in her room the other day and had been far too quiet so I went up to check on her and this is what we found. She had packed a suitcase (pillowcase) and was going to Grandma Lisa's. She had packed almost all of the books from her shelf (you can see it is pretty empty) she had started to unload her dresser so she had clothes, her blanket, some stuffed animals, and most importantly her piggy bank. It was hilarious! She said she was going on vacation to Grandma's.

She has been playing and doing crafts and doing learning activities. She loves learning! We sent in her application for preschool for the fall yesterday. So we should know in the next week or so 1) if she got in, and 2) which days she will go.

Getting Bigger by the Day

Maddie had her first time in the Bumbo today. It helps her learn to sit up! She sat in it for probably 5-10 minutes before she got upset. That is a pretty good job for her first time.

Planting a Tree??

Abby had a good time yesterday playing outside since it was a beautiful day. We were inside getting dinner ready and looked out to see her trying to bury the stick to make it grow into a new tree. It was hilarious! Next thing we know she has the watering can trying to water the tree so it will grow. Priceless!

Difference in the Girls

Maddie-2 months Abby- 4 months

Here is one of the outfits that both of the girls have worn. It is now very apparent to us how much bigger Maddie is than Abby was at this age. This outfit is a 3-6 month outfit and it fits Maddie pretty well. It was still loose on Abby at 4 months. Interesting to see the difference in them!

Abby's Dentist Appointment

Abby had a dentist appointment this morning. All of her teeth are good, no cavities, no stains. She wasn't too keen on letting the lady in her mouth to clean but we coaxed her into it. Her frenum in between her two front teeth is still thick and if it hasn't moved up more by the time she starts losing her baby teeth they will snip it. It has already moved up a little in the last year. She doesn't have to have x-rays until she is 4 so she is in the clear for her August appointment but after that, she will get them once a year.

Sweet Moment

The girls had just woken up from naps and Abby wanted to read Maddie a book. It was very sweet.
