Meet the Teacher Night

We went and met Abby's teacher tonight. Her Pre-K teacher is Mrs. Rapp and Ms. Donahue. I think she will have a good time. They review letters in September and in October they start their unit on Seasons and Weather! She is going to go 5 mornings a week and is excited about it. Here are pictures of the girls before we left.

Big Helpers

Abby informed me the other day that she is going to do all the dishes, laundry, vacuuming and cleaning. We said okay and went on our way. Well, before dinner, she pulls her stool over to the sink and tells me she is going to do the dishes. She did a good job and earned some stickers. Next thing I know, Maddie is moved the step stool from the bathroom next to Abby and is trying to get her hands on some dishes. Thankfully, there was a plastic measuring cup for her to hold on to instead of something glass.

Maddie Girl

Maddie is getting to be a big girl. She is 21 months old. She is saying more words. She loves to follow Abby around. She is sleeping in a toddler bed and does great with it. She hasn't gotten out of it yet! She can go up and down the stairs by herself. She loves to play with baby dolls and seems to always need a bow in her hair. She may be my girly girl. Here are a few pictures of her, the one with the headband she looks like a big girl. I got the piggy at a garage sale and she loves it. We have one at church and that is one of the only toys she plays with there.

Butterflies, Butterflies!!!

Well....not exactly but they will be soon! We came outside the other day and our carrot plants were covered in caterpillars. Seriously, like 30 caterpillars. Well, they have since moved on because they ate all of the leaves of our carrots. Abby was so excited, she wanted to have a butterfly birthday party and give everyone a caterpillar as their party favor. Guess that party theme will need to change unless we capture a bunch of caterpillars before October.

Potty Training

Potty training for Maddie had been going well. She did really well for about a week and a half. Then we all had our allergies flare up and the potty training went out the window. She isn't terribly interested now but we will still try occassionally. Hopefully she gets interested about it again soon. I had gotten used to not changing dirty diapers! :)

Girls

Potty Training

We have started introducing the potty to Maddie. We have had some success. I haven't been terribly diligent with sitting her on the potty as frequently as I should but she has gone #2 on there for most of the week. Today was the first day she didn't make it. She has gone #1 a few times as well. So that is progress!

Maddie's New Room!!

We moved Maddie out of her crib into a toddler bed. She has done great! She doesn't get out of her bed until someone comes to get her. I redecorated with a horse/cowgirl theme and here are some pics of what it looks like! We really like it and so does she! I will post some other pics in an album to the right.
