Happy Transplanniversary!!

This is from Christmas when we were making cookiesThis was our first outing after transplant to the Botanical GardensToday is our dear friends, the Lemns, daughter's transplanniversary. 3 years ago she received the amazing gift of life from a wonderful donor famiy with a new liver. Mackenzie was only 14 months old when she had the transplant and now she is a vibrant, loving, playful 4 year old. We love the Lemn family and spend lots of time with them. Our girls love playing together! Our friend and amazing photographer, Stephanie Beaty, with Lifeography took these amazing pictures for the Lemns late last year.
Happy Transplanniversary Day sweet Mackenzie! We can't wait to come and celebrate with you later today!

New for 2012

Lots has already been going on and we are just 2 weeks into the new year! I have gone officially on staff at church as the Crosscurrent Kids Coordinator/Director. I have been doing in a volunteer capacity for about 6 years. I can work from home and just have to go into the office for staff meeting once a month. Maddie is anxiously awaiting fall so she can start preschool. She will be goingwth her friend Kennedy so she is super excited. Eric is getting ready to go to his new job in February so he is finishing things up at AWSTS (training squadron) and getting ready to go across the street to HM-14 (fleet squadron).

Citizen of the Month

Abby was the citizen of the month in December for her class! She got to go to a breakfast at school that Daddy went to with her. She got to go through the line and pick out her breakfast, she thought it was great! She got a certificate, Chick-Fil-A coupon, pencil, sticker, and bookmark. She got to go up on the stage and shake the principals hand and thought it was wonderful. Sorry, this is the only picture we got, Eric forgot the camera.

House Projects

New Years weekend we decided to pull the carpet out of our bedroom and install wood floor. It is like the flooring we installed in the downstairs so we were able to get it laid pretty quickly. We got it done in 2 days. So we have a bedroom and bathroom makeover. The bathroom project Eric and Gary started during Thanksgiving when Mom and Gary were here. It is amazing how much the room look changes by taking out the carpet!

Christmas 2011

We had a lovely Christmas! We spent Christmas morning at home just our family. The girls were super excited to see what Santa brought them. After naps, we went to our friends house, Mat and Sarah's for Christmas dinner. The girls had a great time playing with their friends and trying out their new toys! Eric had a light work week so he was home quite a bit so we have been enjoying some family time.
