Eric and I were getting ready to go out on a date tonight and Maddie took off walking. She had two good stretches. I missed the first one but got the second set of steps.

Day 3 of the Nor'Easter

We have some friends that live in the neighborhood around the corner and they have a 65 foot pine tree blocking the road. So they can't even get out! No damage here. It did blow one of our picnic table chairs off the deck but I just picked that up. It is still windy and rainy but not nearly as bad as yesterday.

Weathering the Nor'Easter!

We have been inside today with the Nor'Easter outside. We have had probably 8-12 inches of rain since yesterday. Eric didn't have to go to work, Abby didn't have school today due to the massive amounts of rain, tidal flooding, and crazy wind(gusts up to 60MPH). So, we have just been playing inside trying to keep ourselves from going stir crazy.

Truck Dash is fixed....finally!

Eric has has a dash cover for the truck for a little over a year. We finally got around to gluing it in yesterday. Here is how the truck set overnight and most of today.

Super Nanny Mommy!

We were having some behavior issues with Abby and she was driving me crazy so I looked online for some suggestions. We now have a house rules chart hanging in our living room. She also has a new responsibility chart in her room. She is doing better but we sometimes still have a little attitude.

Table Food Only

The time has come that Maddie has decided she doesn't want to eat baby food anymore. She only wants table food. So, she has been having whatever we eat. The other day we were having soup so Eric made her some cereal and tried to feed her the rest of a jar of baby food. She wouldn't have anything to do with it. We gave her some of what we had and she was shoveling it in. I was able to feed her some baby food fruit today for lunch. Thankfully we only have probably 4 jars of food left and they are all fruit so I think she will eat those. She has a YoBaby yogurt for breakfast every morning and loves it. We have been doing that for about a week. So, she will get to enjoy Thanksgiving with the rest of us and have what we are having!

Abby learned this at church a week or two ago. She didn't tell it to us that day of course. She randomly came in the other day and spouted it off. Same thing yesterday, "Daddy, take a video of me." And here is what we got!

Beautiful Fall Day!

Yesterday was a beautiful day! We went on a walk down to the auto parts store and happened upon this yard that had lots of leaves. So we took the opportunity to grab a quick picture of the girls.

Parent Teacher Conference

Eric and I went to Abby's Parent Teacher Conference this morning. The report was good. She plays well with others, she listens to her teacher. She knows her colors, upper and lower case letters, address and phone number (she was the only one that knew her phone number). She needs to work on her numbers still. She can count but doesn't identify them very well. She made us proud!
