Abby's Baptism

A couple of weeks ago, I taught Abby's Sunday School class and I was the lucky one to present the Gospel to her class.  I told them if they had questions, to talk to their mommy and daddys.  Well, the next week, Abby asked if I remembered what I had told them.  I said yes and she said she wanted to talk to Eric and myself.  So she told us she wanted Jesus to live in her heart and we asked some basic questions and she was able to answer them.  She prayed the prayer.  She was super excited to go to church that evening to tell Mr Kris (our pastor) about what she had done.  He confirmed that she was ready by asking her a few more questions.  Tonight she was baptized!

Strawberry Picking

The berries finally got ripe here so we headed out with our friends to do some strawberry picking.  I have a full freezer so we didn't pick quite as many as we typically do.  We still got plenty!

Mother's Day

Well, this year was the year that my birthday fell on Mother's Day.  We had a lovely weekend.  Saturday we did a family race, Eric, Abby and I ran a 5k (Maddie rode in the stroller) and then Abby and Maddie ran a 1/2 mile run fun.  Sunday was spent doing family stuff and then to church for service and baby dedications.  We dedicated 6 babies at church!

Shamrock Marathon.....

Sorry I haven't had updated the blog since the last run.  

Eric ran the 8k with our friend from church.  I ran the 1/2 marathon with my friend Reggie.  I finished in 2 hours 50 mins and 22 seconds.  That is about a 13 minute per mile pace.  That was a little slower than we had planned but we finished!

We are doing a family run in May....at the zoo.  Abby is super excited!

I have been training for a race in March but our friend convinced me to run this with him.  It was a 14k race which is almost 9miles.  Abby really wanted to do a run so we signed her up for the 1k (which is about 2/3 of a mile).  She loved it!  I did really well as well.  I ran the entire thing and completed the race in 1:44:29.  That is about a 12:00/mile pace.  Abby completed her 1k in 5:57.  She was 7th in her age group (2-10 yr olds).  

Sorry for the lack of posts!

Sorry for the lack of posts!  We have been going 90 to nothing for the last few months.  We had a good Thanksgiving with friends ( I didn't have to host!) then we went to Oklahoma for Christmas.  Sprinkle in some Christmas parties and you can see why I haven't had a chance to post.  I will try to get caught up soon!
