I have been training for a race in March but our friend convinced me to run this with him.  It was a 14k race which is almost 9miles.  Abby really wanted to do a run so we signed her up for the 1k (which is about 2/3 of a mile).  She loved it!  I did really well as well.  I ran the entire thing and completed the race in 1:44:29.  That is about a 12:00/mile pace.  Abby completed her 1k in 5:57.  She was 7th in her age group (2-10 yr olds).
