Reaction to the fireworks

Both girls did great at the fireworks. We weren't sure how Maddie would do but she just watched what was going on. We had some friends over and had brisket, corn on the cob, baked beans, and angel food cake with strawberries. After that, we walked probably a 1/2 mile to a spot in the neighborhood where we could see the fireworks that were being shot from the city park across the main road. It was great, we watched them, walked home (Maddie fell asleep) and didn't fight any traffic!
