Hairstylist????

After the professional haircut Abby's haircut to herself Abby decided to cut her hair this morning. She didn't do a terrible job but it definately wasn't even. She was due for a haircut anyway so we went to the salon. I had them cut 3 inches off the back and then they blended her job in and it looks much better.

Cooking Fun

Abby and I made some Rice Krispie Treats yesterday. She thought it was great fun but she keeps calling it Sprinkle Cake, I think because she was getting the stray Rice Krispies and putting them on it. She thought they were super yummy! Mommy and Daddy enjoyed them alot as well (it has been a long time since we had those).

2 Month Check-Up

Maddie is doing great! She is now 12 1/2 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long. At birth she was 8 pounds 5.9 ounces and 21 1/2 inches. At her 2 week check up she was 8 pounds 11 ounces. So, she has put on 4 pounds and grown 2 inches!! She is in the 90th percentile. She had her first round of immunizations and will have more at her 4 month check-up. She is now in her 3-6 month clothes since she is so long. She is still eating well and is sleeping fairly well. She isn't sleeping as well as she was before but she is working back to it. Maybe she just was having a growth spurt?

Baby Hawk

Abby needed a Baby Hawk just like Mommy. So, Grandma Lisa made her one and she loves it. She keeps putting her hippo and bears in it. She is too funny!

Silly Girl!

Abby's imagination has been running wild lately! She keeps climbing in the exersaucer and then she hollers, "the hunter put me in a cage, come save me." The cage is the exersaucer. So, here is a picture of her before she got rescued.

Prayers for Mackenzie

They had a good night last night. Mackenzie’s bilirubin number was 1.9 and her liver enzymes were 1900. Those numbers are great compared to where they were before the tranplant. Her urine is starting to look more normal instead of gold. So, all indicators are showing that her body is accepting the new liver. They are keeping her sedated, everytime she starts to come out of it she starts pulling at her cords and reaching for Mat and Sarah.
Keep praying for Mackenzie’s body to accept the liver and for the family that they recieved the liver from. Pray for Mat and Sarah to be patient and enjoy the little glimmers of the Mackenzie that they know. Help those moments to be encouraging to them.
We are keeping updates at http://www.vabeachbabies.com/.
