Jubilee Fun

We went to the Chesapeake Jubilee yesterday and Abby had a great time. She got to ride her very first ferris wheel. She thought it was wonderful and keeps telling me that she was way up high in the clouds and that it was the most fun thing she did. She also got to make a birdhouse at the Home Depot tent and made a sand art butterfly.

Playing with Mommy's old Barbies. Grammie bought her a new one when she was here in April but we found my old ones and I gave them to Abby. She has been playing with them alot and is having a blast!

We got a new carseat for Maddie for the truck and the other will go in the Cruiser. So, here is a picture of Abby when she was little in the same carseat at 8 months and of her now.

Strawberry Picking 2009

Here we are picking strawberries, that was our 2nd basket of strawberries

Don't they look yummy! We picked strawberries this morning in Pungo. We got probably somewhere between 4-6 pounds of strawberries so they have all been sliced and are in the freezer. Abby also picked out some fresh red potatoes, a yellow squash, zucchini, and a tomato. I made some homemade spaghetti sauce tonight and hit the squash in it and used the tomato as well. Abby has already tried it and it got the stamp of approval from her.

Happy Mother's Day

I have had a wonderful Mother's Day. Abby and Eric brought me a donut and milk in bed this morning. We went to church and dedicated Maddie. We went to lunch with Chris, Bonnie, and Caroline. Then everyone came home and took good naps. Then Abby helped me cook dinner. Now we are waiting on dinner to finish. After dinner there is a local frozen yogurt shop that is giving out free ice cream to moms so we will be making a stop there tonight.

Maddie's Baby Dedication

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says: "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

We had baby dedication at church this morning. We dedicated 18 babies this morning. The above verse is our verse that we picked for Maddie. Both girls did pretty well for dedication. Abby got a little wiggly and Maddie got tired but it was a good time and a great morning at church.
